Stacey is a graduate student in the Department of Sociology. His dissertation will bridge the areas of education, incarceration, and (mental) health. Stacey served as a research assistant to the Chancellor’s Committee on Diversity, Inclusion, and Community, synthesizing research on best practices across the country. Outside of the academy, he has experience with program evaluation and research design for schools and community based programs in the USA and abroad. Stacey has worked as a Data Analyst for the Department of Education and is co-founder of Madison Multicultural Education Solutions, LLC., an educational development and consulting company. Stacey currently holds a fellowship with The Curb Center for Art, Enterprise, and Public Policy. He received his B.A. in Sociology (Honors) at Davidson College (2013) and his M.A. in Sociology at Vanderbilt University (2015).
